Terms & Conditions

These Rental Terms and Conditions, any documents signed by you or to which you have electronically consented, any documents or agreements sent to you electronically in connection with your rental, and the computed rental charges together constitute the rental agreement between you, the RENTER and TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMITED.

 

  1. DRIVER RESTRICTIONS:

    1. Age of Licence: At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver’s license in the driver’s name from his/her country of residence.  The driver's license must be valid at the time of rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. The initial date of issue must not be less than two (2) years prior to the rental date.

 

  1. Age of Driver: Drivers must be between the ages of 21 and 75 years of age to drive vehicle

 

  1. Drivers’ Authorization: Only the renter authorized by TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMTED by presentation of a valid driver’s license is permitted to operate the Vehicle; Renter is responsible for all personal injury and vehicle damage caused by unauthorized drivers.

 

  1. CONDITIONS OF VEHICLE USE:

    1. The vehicle must not be driven or operated by anyone except the RENTER.

    2. The RENTER must operate and park the Vehicle in compliance with all laws, regulations, and ordinances. 

    3. The driver should not drive, operate or use the vehicle if he/she possesses a revoked, suspended, expired or otherwise invalid license

    4. The driver should not drive, operate or use the vehicle if he/she is under the influence of alcohol or any other substance that Applicable Law prohibits

    5.  The driver while driving should not use mobile phones or hand-held devices unless it is in a hands-free mode

    6.  The vehicle should not be used to transport people and/or property for hire

    7. The vehicle should not be used to transport hazardous or explosive substances

    8. The vehicle should not be used to give driving lessons

    9. The vehicle should not be used to push or tow any vehicle, trailer or other object

    10. The vehicle should not be used to enter any racing, pace-making or testing event

    11. The vehicle should not be operated in any abusive, reckless, or grossly negligent manner

    12. The vehicle should not be used to operate beyond its rated capacity with respect to weight/occupancy

    13. The vehicle should not be used to conduct any illegal activity

    14. The vehicle should not be used in violation of any parking/traffic rules

 

  1. BREACH OF AGREEMENT

    1. Any violation of the conditions of rental in this agreement constitutes automatic breach of the agreement and grounds for TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMITED to demand immediate return of the vehicle and re- possession of the vehicle.

    2. The RENTER will also be liable for any penalties, fines, forfeitures, liens, recovery costs and storage costs, as applicable 

  2. FUEL POLICY

  1. Vehicles should be returned with the same level of fuel as when collected. No credit or refund will be given for petrol brought back in excess of what was received. 

  2. Vehicles returned with less than the fuel level vehicle previously collected will be charged a re-fuelling rate higher than the retail pump price as we include a service fee

 

  1. LENGTH OF RENTAL

A rental day is 24 hours The standard minimum period for rental is 3 days. Rental below the minimum may attract a surcharge.

 

  1. LIABILITY

  1. The RENTER is responsible for the full value of the rental vehicle

  2. All penalties related to traffic and/or parking offenses during hire are the responsibility of the RENTER

  3. RENTERS are responsible for Vehicle Loss and/or Damage, plus related expenses including any consequential damage, loss of ability to re-hire and any loss of or damage to, vehicles and property of third-parties arising during the term of hire. 

  4. TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMITED reserves the right to charge the Renter’s credit card for any infringement fees incurred during the time the vehicle is in the possession of the RENTER.

  5. TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMTED shall have no responsibility or obligation for loss or damage to personal property left in the unattended vehicle by renter or any other party.

 

  1. PAYMENT METHOD

  1. We accept cash, a major credit cards, debit cards are accepted provided that the card bears the Visa or Mastercard logo. and electronic bank transfers with corresponding proof of receipt.

  2. The name and billing address associated with the banks card must match the information on the renter's government-issued I.D. 

 

  1. SMOKE-FREE VEHICLES
    Smoking is not permitted in our rental vehicles. If, in our sole discretion, TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMITED determine the Vehicle smells of smoke, vape or any other substance a special cleaning charges will apply.

 

  1. CANCELLATIONS
    There are no cancellation fees applicable for car rental services. However, a cancellation fee may apply for Private Transfers or other ground transportation services which have been booked and where we have not been notified in good time that the chauffeur is no longer needed.

 

  1. DELIVERY/COLLECTION OF VEHICLES

  1. We offer free delivery and pickup in Kingston 

  2. A delivery/collection fee is charge for drop-offs and pick-ups outside of Kingston

  1. VEHICLE RETURN 

  1. RENTERS must return the Vehicle in the same condition it was received at the designated return time identified in the rental contract. 

  2.  If a RENTER wishes to extend any rental contract, he/she must contact TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMTED  prior to the designated return time. TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMITED may grant or deny an extension within our sole discretion.

  3. If you fail to return the Vehicle at the Designated Return Time and to the Designated Return Location, subject to any approved extensions or modifications agreed by TRANSERVICES LIMITED you will breach this Agreement. We may, at our discretion and subject to any notice requirements imposed by Applicable Law, treat your failure to return the Vehicle according to the terms of this Agreement as a theft or other illegal taking. You may be charged for any fees associated with the failure to return the Vehicle, and any payment by the payment card does not constitute a waiver of our right to treat the Vehicle as stolen.

 

  1. MISREPRESENTATION/REPOSSESSION OF VEHICLE

Vehicles will be repossessed at any time in the sole discretion of TRANSERVICES JAMAICA LIMITED once it is deemed to be issued to the RENTER through any fraud or misrepresentation.
